He also expressed an opinion on Jihad and the pillars of Islam, noting that “Jihad, is a duty to defend one's country, not a Pillar of Islam". He went on to say that "some Islamic countries have alleged the United States government to be aligned with Satan, but insisted that despite him not liking Americans, he does not believe Americans are working for the Devil". The detainee stated that he was abused when captured but refused to give details and stated that his treatment at Guantanamo has been better.
