Fay Report Annex: DOD Interview re: Conditions at Abu Ghraib Detention Facility

Interviewee was assigned to AG from May 23, 2003 to October 15, 2003 as the Iraqi Survey Group of the 72 Military Police Company. Interviewee recalled an incident where [redacted] had several detainees moved into the sun. Later, the detainees were examined and it was determined a few were dehydrated as a result of being put in the sun. Interviewee stated that he/she did witness detainees on adjusted sleep schedules, the detainees' schedules were posted outside of their cell. Methods to keep the detainee awake included, turning on the lights, banging on the cell or banging on trash cans. Interviewee also stated that he/she does not recall detainees being stripped as a form of humiliation, but only during in-processing.
