Detainees were involved in an argument and physical altercation that involved punching and throwing fruit. Actions taken in response were complete segregation and complete loss of comfort items.

    • There was a physical altercation between two detainees that started over an argument regarding the call to prayer. After being ordered to separate and stop arguing, one detainee threw a piece of fruit and then struck the other on the left side of the head with his right fist. Detainees were separated and placed into separate compound recreation yards and were subsequently moved. Medical corpsman confirmed that one detainee had swelling on the left side of his head and the other had a swollen area around the knuckles of his right hand. Actions taken in response were complete segregation and complete loss of comfort items.
