June 21, 2004 | DOA | ACLU-RDI 2577

Sworn statement by an assistant platoon commander in charge of maintaining a temporary holding facility and providing "over-watch for tactical interrogations." Discusses detainee holding and interrogation practices. States, "The most aggressive interrogation techniques we have used are sleep management and stress positions. With sleep management, we'll adjust the sleep schedule of the individual. I'll give guidance to the guards when a person is to sleep and not to sleep... They must get four hours of sleep for every 24 hours, but it doesn't have to be in a single block. 48 hours is the longest we've ever done sleep management... All the stress positions are directed by the interrogator." The rest of the document is redacted.
