- On February 28, 2004, during a raid in a village in Taal Al Jal, Iraq, PFC Edward L. Richmond drew a rifle and shot a cow herder-civilian, Muhamed Husain Kadir, in the back of the head and killed him. It is reported that Mr. Kadir was flexcuffed-bound and was not armed.
