      Autopsy No: A03-51.  Civilian detainee, 52 year old Iraqi male, found unresponsive outside in isolation at Whitehorse detainment facilitiy.  Cause of Death: Strangulation.  Manner of Death: Homicide.

    - 2003-06-06, Whitehorse Detainment Facility, Iraq, Death- Detainee, a 52-year-old Iraqi civilian male, was found unresponsive outside in isolation. The autopsy revealed that deceased's hyoid bone was fractured and that there was a soft tissue hemorrhage extending downward to the level of the right thyroid cartilage. There was also evidence of blunt force injuries, predominantly recent contusions on the torso and lower extremities. Abrasions encircling the deceased's left wrist were consistent with the use of restraints. There was no evidence of defense injuries or natural disease. Cause of death: strangulation. Manner of death: homicide.
