- Major General Abed Hamed Mowhoush lost consciousness on November 26, 2003 while being questioned by U.S. authorities in Qaim. Shortly after complaining about not feeling well, Mowhoush did not exhibit a pulse, and the soldier questioning him called medical authorities. A U.S. military physician later pronounced Mowhoush dead.
