Interview (conducted via email) of a former Psychiatrist with the Behavioral Science Consultation Team (BSCT). The interviewee witnessed the use of dogs during the interrogation of a detainee, and observed female interrogators using sexual tension as an interrogation technique. The interviewee also heard of military interrogators yelling at detainees and using loud music during interrogations.

    • Interview (conducted via email) of a former Psychiatrist with the Behavioral Science Consultation Team (BSCT). The interviewee witnessed the use of a dog named 'Zeus' during the interrogation of a detainee. The interviewee explained that dogs were an approved part of the interrogation plan and that the dogs were used to intimidate detainees by barking and acting aggressively on command.

The interviewee observed female interrogators using sexual tension as an interrogation procedure. On one occasion, a female interrogator rubbed against a detainee in order to 'rattle' him because it was a cultural taboo, and because it was disrespectful and humiliating. Also, the interviewee was aware of female interrogators using scented oils on their fingertips and touching detainees so that the it would be hard to wash off, the hope was the scent would frustrate and embarrass the detainee.
