If so, how did we handle it. I know that we have been made aware of allegations in the past, but I do not know of any instance where we had to make a referral. Please advise as soon as possible since I have to provide a statement to the press office today.” Chris Swecker replied "I did not observe or hear of any, such abuses. I traveled to Abu Ghraib many times. I did observe that the entire facility was very understaffed. You may want to canvass the CJIS and HRT management as their folks spent the majority of their time at Abu Ghraib processing the detainees (CJIS) was there almost every day. CS"
